“Genesi2” is McGyver’s creative sequel to G:nesis (2019). In this video, we recreated the oxymoronic, paradoxical juxtapositions of life and death. Endings and beginnings. Whereas G:nesis pictured the rise and fall of an artist (in the boxing ring and in church), my perspective in directing this music video was to revisit the concepts of the Endless cycle of Endings-Beginnings in its abstract sense: a deserted church: “Underworld” (fall) on one hand, a functioning church on the other hand & Tunnel of Light and Darkness (rise).
